Call for Papers announced for CyCon 2012

In June 2012 the fourth International Conference on Cyber Conflict (CyCon 2012) will take place in Tallinn, Estonia. This time the conference will focus on military and paramilitary activities in cyberspace. Call for Papers is now open and the deadline for submission of abstracts is set for 12 December 2011.CyCon 2012 brings together legal, policy and technical experts to discuss current key aspects of cyber conflicts and submissions from all areas are welcome on equal grounds. The Law & Policy Track will focus on the challenges cyberspace currently presents to legal and policy practitioners and academics. The Technical Track will provide additional aspects to the discussion by exploring the practical side of cyber conflict, cyber attack and cyber weapons. 

Authors are required to first submit an abstract of the planned paper, which should describe the topic and lay out the main aspects and structure of the research (300-500 words). After a preliminary review and acceptance of the abstract, the respective authors will be requested to submit original and unpublished papers meeting high academic research standards (up to 6000 words, incl. footnotes and references).

CyCon 2012 will take place in Tallinn from 5th to 8th of June 2012. The conference is co-sponsored by the IEEE Communications Society.NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence is a Tallinn-based international military organisation whose sponsoring nations include Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Slovakia and Spain.
